Length: Approximately 25 minutes.

Format/Film Stock: 16mm – 200T and 500T Color Negative Film Stocks

Sound: Unlike my other projects, this one was shot with a sync-sound camera. We were luckily able to get someone to help us do both boom operation and sound recording every day of the shoot. This was much easier than doing everything ADR, but when it came time to do ADR and put it in the scene, it was very hard to match up, in terms of quality, to the existing sound in the film.

About/Notes: Trials of a Blue Movie Star was done as a joint-thesis. This means that I worked with another individual, Hank Bausch, on the film. By teaming up with Hank, we were able to split costs. We were also able to pull together our resources in terms of actors and locations. Together we directed, produced, and edited the film.

It should also be noted that the film features no nudity. The film is a serious and respectful piece that neither attacks the adult film industry or the actors/actresses in the adult film industry.
