AndrewMJackson.com Redesign

So as of last week, I started to plan the redesign of AndrewMJackson.com. I new when the site was originally created back in 2008 that it would have to change in the near future, and now it’s time.

What you are looking at now is phase 1 of that change. There is still much to do, but it’s getting there. I’m hoping to have everyone complete by the end of June. Can’t wait!

Now on Twitter!

I recently joined Twitter. Go to the “Links” section to get a direct link to my Twitter page. Following me on Twitter will give everyone a little more details about what I’m up to than you will find here.

FARM Website Launched

FarmTheMovie.com has officially launched. Check it out for more details on the film I’m set to co-direct.

FARM details online!

I updated my site with some details on the independent film I’m set to co-direct. It can be found in the Current Projects page on the site.

Trials of a Blue Movie Star Now Online

My senior thesis film, Trials of a Blue Movie Star, has now been added to the site. Check it out in my Portfolio section.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone. The independent feature I’m set to co-direct is coming along quite well. Not everything is lined out yet, but the script ready, and the storyboarding process is nearly complete. We are pretty much just letting what we storyboarded sit for awhile, and will come back to it in a month and see what we think.

We now of course need crew, actors, locations, and a ton of other stuff, but we are pretty happy with where it is at. The Current Projects section of my website will be updated in the not-too-distant future with the film’s title, synopsis, and a link to its official website.

Back Home

I’m back from Los Angeles and am at home in Southern Illinois. I’m definitely going to miss it out there, but it’s nice to be home. With my time here, I’m going to start working on an independent feature film that we will hopefully start filming by the mid-2009. We have an excellent script, but now need everything else that goes along with a great film, including talented actors and crew. A little money would also be nice.

Los Angeles was a great experience. In this business, there is always more to learn, whether it be about a certain craft, like cinematography, directing, acting, etc. or actually about the business itself. Making movies is a business after all, that employs thousands and has appeal across the world. Being from the St. Louis area, Los Angeles handles everything much differently because of how common making films are there. In St. Louis, a local film is a big deal, where in Los Angeles, it’s nothing special or out of the ordinary.

I will keep you all updated on how the movie comes along when I can. It’s hard to say much until everything is set in stone, so it might be awhile before I comment on it again.
