Notes/About: The class was set up for students to gain experience editing narrative, experimental, and documentary pieces. The narrative work is what is available in the above links. We were given the raw footage of a particular scene from Highlander: The Vampire, which is an episode in season 2 of the television series. Along with the raw footage, we were given a script with notes taken by the filmmakers. Our goal was to put it together. After all the students showed what they did and explained their editing choices, we watched the real one from the show.

The documentary and experimental edits gave students a little more freedom. Instead of following a script, we were given the documentary footage and asked to use 4 out of 6 or so segments and link them together with B-roll/narration to tell a complete story. The experimental edit worked the same way, in that we were given stock footage of random things and asked to make an experimental piece out of it.
